New blog and schedule:

Hello everybody. This is just a quick post to keep you up to date on a couple of things

Firstly, my blogpost schedule will change from now on. Some of you may of known that I intended to post three times a week. And if you have noticed, I haven't quite been living up to my promises. Being in my final two years of school means that I need to commit to my education and focus on it a much more than I did in the previous years.
Not only that, but I have had to deal with a some important personal issues that have taken away my motivation to blog. Yes, I could still post average content three times a week. But I would rather focus on the quality of my posts rather than quantity. After all, would you prefer consistent but boring content or posts you actually want to read?

Secondly, I have created a second blog called 'The Geek In Bri'. If you can't guess by the title, it's all about my nerdy interests. I'll basically be posting book reviews, updates on my writing processes and anything else along those lines that sparks my interest. I didn't want to make this blog so broad and have too many niches in the one site.
So if you are interested in that type of thing, go check it out :) A little warning though: I have only just created this new blog, so it still has a lot of improvements required. I'm getting there, but it will take a bit of time to create a layout I am happy with. I will be fixing this shortly though and can't wait until the design is finished!

Check it out here: http://thegeekinbri.blogspot.com.au/

If you have managed to make it this far, then thank you for taking the time out to read this boring update. I will have something interesting up soon! Stay tuned x

Separating parents

No matter how old you are, divorcing parents is hard. Let's be honest, it sucks and the majority will never see it as a good thing at first. But in most cases, it truly is.

My parents have been separated for over five years now. Luckily, they ended their marriage of good terms. I have been ever so fortunate to see how a civil split pans out. Recently though, they have been arguing a fair bit and the mutual kindness is starting to wear. I don't blame either of them more than the other, because it takes two to tango.

But in saying that, I do wish they would resolve their conflict in a way that doesn't effect me. Or just don't start any drama at all. And it's really opened my eyes to how terrible the situation can be for the kids going through cases much worse than mine.

This life isn't perfect, and neither are our parents. Some just aren't meant to be together and at the end of the day, that's all there is to it. I'll say it again: it sucks, I know. But it's the way of life and something many have to experience at some point in their life.

I think it's important for any parents who wish to separate to take their child(ren) into consideration and ensure their feelings are not overlooked. Sure, you can start pointless crap, but the toll it has on the kids involved is totally not worth it. Seeing both types of divorces, I much prefer being on civil terms.

So my message to parents: Please, please think of your kids. No matter what the reasoning to divorce, your child(ren) should come first and the tension needs to be put aside. Do it for their sake.

And for the children: remember that you are not alone and that it does get easier. Maybe it won't get easier a day, week or month from now, but it will. Keep your head up and remember that things will eventually look up.

If you have an opinion to share about divorces, or don't agree with mine, let me know in the comments :)

The product that bruised my face.... say what??

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be writing a review where I had nothing good to say about the product. Now here I am, sharing my disappointment and anger about something that BRUISED MY FACE. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL? Okay Brianna, compose yourself. I still cannot fathom such a concept. So here's my delightfully pleasant review(total sarcasm intended)...
